A pest-control technician app needs a short list: today’s jobs, in order, with the address. One control to start. A place for photos, materials, and a signature. A way to finish. That is the job. Invoices, tax reports, and seat limits belong in the office.

What to include

Today’s run, not the whole year. Last notes on the property — dog, gate, “customer was angry last time.” Maps for the address. Offline enough to finish when the signal dies between houses. A banner if a job has not synced. Nothing cute.

Offline, honestly

Patchy signal is normal. A local queue that uploads later is the requirement. Full offline accounting — editing last month’s invoices in a basement — is not. If a vendor promises “works anywhere” with no sync banner, ask what happens when two people edit the same job.
