How to add a booking page to a pest-control website
Hosted booking link or embed: how new jobs land on the diary, and what the office still has to assign.
A link is enough to start
You do not need a new website to take a booking. You need a page with your hours, the services you allow online, and a time the customer can pick. That page can live on a hosted link you put in Google, Facebook, or the footer of the site you already have.
Spestly gives you a hosted booking URL and an embed for a website block. Bookings land on the diary unassigned. The office assigns a technician. That is intentional. A stranger on the internet should not pick a specific driver unless you have built that rule. Most small companies have not.
What to turn on
Pick which services are bookable. Do not put a $2,000 bed-bug heat job next to a $149 general spray if you want to talk before you commit a truck. Hours should match when you actually answer the phone or run routes — not 24/7 because it looks modern.
Use your real company name and a ZIP-friendly address style. Customers type like Google, not like a database. Confirm the timezone. A booking at 4:00 in the wrong zone is a missed stop.
Embed versus hosted page
The hosted page is fastest: copy the link. The embed is an iframe in WordPress, Squarespace, or a simple HTML block. If the site builder fights iframes, use the link. A button that says “Book a treatment” is clearer than a form that emails a receptionist who is on the road.
Color and “powered by” hiding exist on higher plans. Do not wait on branding to take the first online job. Take the job, then polish the page.
After someone books
The visit appears on the diary. Assign a name. If you use the van view, the technician sees it on Today once it is theirs. Confirm by phone if the job is commercial or looks wrong. Online booking is a front door, not a replacement for judgment.
Reminders and “we are on the way” only help if the email exists and mail is actually leaving. Check the email log after the first test booking to yourself.
What booking will not do
It will not price a custom commercial account. It will not check if two trucks can be downtown at 8:00. It will not replace a conversation about pets, kids, or a restaurant close time. Use it for the work you already sell the same way every week.
Setup lives in Settings → Website booking. The trial is seven days. Card required. First week covers import and the first invoice after a booked job.
