What pest-control software actually needs

A buying guide: customers, recurring jobs, a van view, invoices, and booking — without a generic CRM to reshape.

A buying list, not a feature catalog

Pest-control software has a short job: keep customers and properties, keep the next visit booked, put today’s run on a phone, and turn a finished job into an invoice. If a demo spends an hour on gamification and two minutes on recurring plans, leave.

You can bend Jobber, Housecall, or a CRM into pest work. You will add fields and train people around gaps. Pest-only software assumes treatments, vans, and frequencies from the first screen. That is the category Spestly is in. We are new. We do not pretend otherwise.

Must have

Customers with more than one property. A diary the office and the van share. Recurring frequencies that rebook. Due work that is visible when it is not on this week’s run. Invoices from the job, not a blank form. A way to import a CSV. Export if you leave.

For anyone with technicians: a phone view that is not the office. Photos and a signature. Offline enough to finish the stop.

Nice, not first

Public booking. Quote accept links. A map that orders the day. Accountant exports. Bait-station logs. Two-factor login. These matter. They should not delay the first real Tuesday.

Usually the wrong first buy

Live traffic routing for two vans. A consumer marketplace. An AI dispatcher trained on someone else’s trades. A contract you cannot cancel. A per-invoice fee on top of a subscription when you already pay Stripe.

How to trial

Import real customers. Book a real job. Complete it on a phone if you have a van. Send an invoice to yourself. If that loop is clumsy, the rest of the roadmap will not save you. First week is the sequence we use.

Spestly pricing is public: Desk $49, Route $99, Fleet $179 per month, yearly at 10× monthly. Seven days free, card required. Routes are not sat-nav. Card pay-now needs Connect. Read the pricing page before you sit through a sales call — including ours.
