Best pest control software for small companies (2026)
How to choose software for a small pest company — franchise stacks, generic field tools, and pest-only options including Spestly.
There is no single winner
“Best pest control software” depends on how many trucks you run and whether you already live in a franchise stack. A 2-van company and a 200-route group should not buy the same product. Anyone who ranks ten tools with fake scores is selling the list.
This is a 2026 buying map for small US pest companies — roughly one office and up to a handful of technicians. We make Spestly. We will say so. We will not invent review counts.
The franchise stacks
FieldRoutes and PestPac (WorkWave) are the names you hear from larger groups. They are built for process, reporting, and companies that can staff an implementation. They are often the right answer when you already have them, or when a franchisor tells you to use them. They are usually the wrong first buy for a five-person shop that needs Tuesday to work on Thursday.
See FieldRoutes and PestPac if you are trying to leave weight, not gain it.
Generic field service
Jobber, Housecall Pro, and ServiceTitan sit in a broader trades market. ServiceTitan is a platform for multi-trade scale — price and rollout match that. Jobber is simpler and still generic: you will teach it recurring pest. That can be fine. It is extra work. ServiceTitan vs pest-only is the longer note.
Pest-only, including us
Pest-only tools assume treatments, properties, and frequencies. Spestly is one of them. It is new. Desk $49, Route $99 (van + routes), Fleet $179. Seven-day trial, card to start. Routes open Maps; they are not live traffic. Card pay-now needs Stripe Connect. Import is CSV. Support is email, with white-glove for early companies.
If you need a decade of enterprise references, we do not have them. If you need a diary, a phone list, and an invoice from the job this week, that is the product. What we built and what it costs are public.
How to choose without a spreadsheet of 80 features
Run one week in the tool: import, book, complete on a phone, send an invoice. Ask whether the next quarterly appears without a reminder. Ask what happens if you cancel. Ask who owns your data export.
Ignore star ratings you cannot verify. Ignore “used by 10,000 companies” unless you can see yourself in that number. Small companies lose when they buy a stack meant for a regional.
