ServiceTitan vs pest-only software (and when Jobber is the wrong fit)
Honest comparison: ServiceTitan for multi-trade scale, Jobber as generic field service, and pest-only software for recurring treatments.
Different animals
ServiceTitan is home-services infrastructure: plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and companies that want one platform across trades. Price, implementation, and sales motion match that. Pest control can be put on it. That does not mean a 3-van pest company should start there.
Jobber sits lower: simpler field service, still generic. Recurring pest is possible. You will build the pest shape yourself — frequencies, treatment history, a van that is not a mini-office.
When ServiceTitan is the right call
You are multi-trade or becoming one. You have budget for a real rollout. You want the ecosystem and the reporting a large home-services group expects. You are not buying it to schedule 80 quarterlies and send invoices.
When Jobber is the wrong fit
Jobber is not “wrong.” It is generic. It is the wrong fit when every week is recurring treatments and you are tired of custom fields. It can be the right fit if you already run Jobber for another trade and pest is a side book. Do not switch tools for a blog. Switch when the diary and the van disagree every Friday.
When pest-only software is the better comparison
You only do pest. You want the next visit to appear when the last one is done. You want a phone list that is Today, not a CRM. You want a public monthly price.
Spestly is pest-only. The product is customers, diary, van (Route+), quotes, invoices, booking. $49 / $99 / $179. Seven-day trial, card required. We are early. We do not have ServiceTitan’s footprint. We will not win a feature-count fight. We will run a week.
Price honesty
ServiceTitan quotes are custom. Jobber publishes plans that change — check their site. We publish ours. Do not trust a comparison table from 2023. Trust a trial on your own customers.
